So Little Time

Part of the festival The Aesthetics of Resistance – Peter Weiss 100

In his new production Lebanese director and actor Rabih Mroué examines the interrelations between the myths, self-representations and depictions of martyrs. What happens when someone presumed to be dead suddenly turns up again, encountering his own image as a larger-than-life myth working between fiction and documentary. Mroué peels off layer after layer to expose the contradictions of political and historical visual language.
