little red (play): ‘herstory’

Part of "Comrades, I Am Not Ashamed of My Communist Past"*

andcompany&Co first came to the attention of the international theatre scene with “little red (play): ‘herstory’” in 2006. In their docu-fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood as a socialist West pioneer, they travelled back into the time of great utopias. 30 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall they are getting back into their time machine for us once again, asking: What remains of the ideology that turned the 20th century upside down? In a dense, poppy remix of text, image and music John Lennon meets Vladimir I. Lenin and Walter Benjamin meets Walter E. Disney. Run again, little red!
