In the festival “Utopian Realities – 100 Years of Now with Alexandra Kollontai” in January 2017 HAU Hebbel am Ufer looked into the currency of the political and artistic developments that became possible for a few years after the Russian Revolution of 1917. Starting from texts by Alexandra Kollontai (1872–1952) the volume now being released in cooperation with the Haus der Kulturen der Welt deals with the political dimensions of bodies, love and sexuality, debating the gender and family politics of the revolutionary for today. With contributions by: Bini Adamczak, Christiane Bauermeister, Judith Braband, Keti Chukhrov, Nicoleta Esinencu, Olga Grjasnowa, Anke Hennig, Alexandra Kollontai, Felicita Reuschling.
