Introducing: Lulu Obermayer

Manon Lescaut

Part of "Performing Arts Festival Berlin 2018"

Together with Manon Lescon, Giacomo Puccini portrayed the solitary odyssey of a seemingly self-confident woman on the search for true love. In this story, Lulu Obermayer finds a number of contemporary references and orchestrates them for us into a female solo performance that simultaneously deconstructs the mechanisms of opera and seeks to renegotiate feminine attributions in art.
