Introducing:

Kasia Wolińska - DANCE, PILGRIM, DANCE / Romuald Krężel & Monica Duncan - Micro Theatre: “La dolce vita”

Part of "Performing Arts Festival Berlin 2018"

Dance, Pilgrim Dance (Kasia Wolinska / Art Stations Foundation)
Dance for socialism! Even if the parquet probably doesn’t leave our comrades much room for free expression. Kasia Wolinska wants to know about this and reminds us of an historic encounter: Isadora Duncan and the USSR – The Revolutionary. On the basis of her reconstruction of three pieces of choreography by the U.S. dance icon, history becomes more contemporary than ever before.

MICRO THEATER: "La dolce vita" (Romuald Krężel & Monica Duncan)
This piece cuts things down: 16 minutes, 4 spotlights, 2 microphones, 1 projector and 1 prop. Romuald Krezel and Monica Duncan find their liberation in this and open a space that seeks to contemplate the economy of art. Less is more vs. la dolce vita. How everything fits into a small suitcase forms the central question of this action and is the great attraction at the same time.
