The Parade of the Moles

Part of the Festival "The Mole Keeps on Digging. Animals / Politics / Performance"

Moles, keeping out of sight from humans, are simultaneously present and not-present through their holes and mounds. At the start of "The Mole Keeps on Digging. Animals / Politics / Performance" a horde of gigantic rodents leaves their familiar biotope, making its way through the city in processions in “The Parade of the Moles”. Personifying a secretive world, the nearly blind animals, brought to Berlin by Philippe Quesne, take over public space to reveal what humans cannot perceive. All Berliners are invited to follow along! At the end of the parade they will end up at HAU Hebbel am Ufer to find a new place of refuge.
