The international performance collective andcompany&Co. was founded in Frankfurt/Main in 2003. Founding members are theatremaker, author and performer Alexander Karschnia, theatermaker, singer and performer Nicola Nord, and musician, composer and performer Sascha Sulimma. andcompany&Co. is conceived as an open network which new artists coming from various disciplines are constantly joining - among them are author and theater director Joachim Robbrecht, visual artists Jan Brokof, Noah Fischer, Hila Peled, and musicians Reinier van Houdt and Simon Lenski. Its performances are arsenals of a 20th and 21st century history which embarks on a tour from Mahagonny, Brecht’s gold rush town, and the legend of Europe to the trilogy about the rise and fall of communism. Utopias and snatches of memory are picked up and checked for surplus value when they are brought to the stage again. Their plays are shown internationally and were seen, among others at Brussels’ Kunstenfestivaldesarts (2007 and 2012), Wiener Festwochen (2008), Festival Impulse (2009) PAZZ Festival (2010 and 2012) and Dortmund’s Festival favoriten 08 – Theaterzwang (2008/2010), where little red (play):‚'herstory‘ was awarded the prize of the North-Rhine Westphalia’s ministry of culture. The last production they presented at HAU Hebbel am Ufer was “Black Bismarck“. In December 2014 andcompany&Co. will show the lecture "Sounds like war: Kriegserklärung," which has been invited to Festival Theater formen and LIFT Festival.
